Consejo Hispano is a Latinx-led organization serving over 15,000 people across Clatsop, Columbia, and Tillamook Counties in Oregon, and Pacific County in Washington.

Their work focuses on economic empowerment, community self-determination, and the celebration of Latinx culture through culturally specific programs and services. Because of their broad range of services, it was a challenge for the organization to summarize their offerings in a streamlined manner.

This is where video storytelling comes in.

In 2025, Octavus Media partnered with Consejo Hispano to craft an emotionally driven video that highlights their role in the community. Filmed across three production days and multiple cultural events, the video featured interviews with staff, program participants, and local leaders. What makes this project particularly engaging is the combination of cinematic b-roll including Latinx folk dancers on the Tillamook coast paired with testimonials from those within the community.

The final piece also included bilingual captions and a short-form social media cut, built for distribution across Consejo Hispano's website, social channels, and fundraising events.
